Press released by Takezawa and Hirose – Large Amounts of Helium in the Earth’s Core?
Haruki Takezawa (M2 student) and Kei Hirose, in collaboration with Naoya Sakamoto (Hokkaido University) and Han Hsu (Academia Sinica), have released a joint press statement. They successfully synthesized iron-helium compounds and demonstrated their existence using theoretical calculations and mass spectrometry.

This research have been published in the journal Physical Review Letters. The paper was selected as an “Editors’ Suggestion” due to its significance and was also featured in the “Physics”. The research was chosen as the cover image for the issue.
