Kei Hirose
1968年福島県生まれ、千葉県柏市育ち。86年、東京大学理科一類入学。90年、同理学部地学科卒業。
94年同博士課程修了。その後、日本学術振興会特別研究員、東京工業大学地球惑星科学科助手、カーネーギー地球物理学研究所客員研究員(東工大助手在籍中)、東京工業大学地球惑星科学科助教授、同教授、同地球生命研究所(ELSI)・所長を経て、2017年より現職(東工大地球生命研究所所長も兼務)。
2008年 日本学術振興会賞、2011年 日本学士院賞、2016年 藤原賞を受賞。
2009年よりアメリカ地球物理学連合フェロー、2017年より日本地球惑星科学連合フェロー。
趣味は、子供と遊ぶこと。
