Hirose Laboratory – High Pressure Geophysics
We investigate the Earth's deep interior materials and dynamics with ultra-high pressure and temperature experiments. / The University of Tokyo
Prof. Hirose received Robert Wilhelm Bunsen Medal from The European Geosciences Union (EGU).
This medal was established in recognition of the scientific acchievement of Robert Wilherm Bunsen. It is awareded to significant research in geochemistry, mineralogy, petrology, and volcanology.

Kei Hirose
1968年福島県生まれ、千葉県柏市育ち。86年、東京大学理科一類入学。90年、同理学部地学科卒業。
94年同博士課程修了。その後、日本学術振興会特別研究員、東京工業大学地球惑星科学科助手、カーネーギー地球物理学研究所客員研究員(東工大助手在籍中)、東京工業大学地球惑星科学科助教授、同教授、同地球生命研究所(ELSI)・所長を経て、2017年より現職(東工大地球生命研究所所長も兼務)。
2008年 日本学術振興会賞、2011年 日本学士院賞、2016年 藤原賞を受賞。
2009年よりアメリカ地球物理学連合フェロー、2017年より日本地球惑星科学連合フェロー。
趣味は、子供と遊ぶこと。
